About the school:

The Sultan's School is a not-for-profit, IB World school, founded in 1977 with the mission to provide a broad and balanced education that blends the strengths of Omani culture with a holistic education that encourages an international perspective, critical and creative thinking, and strong academic standards. The curriculum is bilingual, with Arabic Language, Islamic Education and Social Studies taught in Arabic, and English Language, Mathematics and the Sciences taught in English. A full range of foundation subjects are taught in both languages.

The Sultan’s School blends three curricula- the International Cambridge curriculum from Primary through IGCSE, with the Ministry of Education’s ‘Basic Education Program’, and the International Baccalaureate (IBDP). The school is academically high performing and ambitious, with new initiatives such as HPL (High Performance Learning) aimed to raise the bar even higher. Due to the strong leadership, stable environment and happy “family” atmosphere, staff turnover is exceptionally low- less than 10% annually.

The campus is one of the largest in the world at over 50 hectares in a lush, park-like setting, and includes a beautiful, homely residential area for staff and their families. The school and housing environment is surrounded by greenery and space.
