Due to the continued growth of The Royal Grammar School Guildford, Qatar (RGSGQ) we seek to appoint an outstanding Arabic and Islamic Teacher (GCSE/A-Level) for Secondary to join one of the most prestigious British International schools in the Middle East.

The RGS Guildford Qatar has developed a strong partnership with RGS Guildford in the UK a prestigious UK independent school with a tradition and rich history for providing outstanding education. We also have strong links with our international sister schools throughout the world.

The RGS Guildford, Qatar is an all-through British school offering a co-educational British curriculum for children aged 3 to 18. The School opened in September 2016, and now welcomes over 785 students to its campus which is just 20 minutes from the Pearl and the new Lusail city. Students follow the English Early Years Foundation Stage, the National Curriculum at Key Stages 1, 2, 3 and at Key Stage 4 a comprehensive range of IGCSE courses. At Post-16 the school offers a range of AS levels. The school has a reputation for high quality teaching and learning and has a range of excellent sports facilities which include an astro turf, sports hall and an open-air swimming pool..

About Role:

•  Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Arabic and Islamic Studies lessons for GCSE and A-Level students in line with the British Curriculum.

• Assess and monitor students’ progress, providing timely and constructive feedback.

• Develop engaging lesson plans that cater to a variety of learning styles and abilities.

• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active participation.

 • Use modern teaching techniques and resources to enhance the learning experience.

• Prepare students for examinations, ensuring they achieve excellent academic outcomes.

 • Collaborate with the wider teaching team to develop curriculum resources and strategies.

 • Participate in professional development, parent meetings, and school events as required.

  • Maintain accurate records of students’ attendance, progress, and achievements.

  • The candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons, fostering student success, and ensuring a high standard of teaching and learning.


Successful applicants must have:  

 • Bachelor’s degree in Arabic Language and Islamic Studies, or Education (specialized in teaching Arabic).

• Minimum 3-5 years of teaching experience in a similar role within international schools.

• Comprehensive knowledge of the British Curriculum, specifically GCSE and A-Level requirements.

• Strong understanding of effective teaching methodologies and classroom management.

• Proficiency in modern teaching tools and technologies.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

 • Ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve academic excellence.

Preferred Qualifications:

 •  Experience in curriculum development and examination preparation.

 •   Familiarity with innovative and student-centered teaching approaches.
