We are a boutique school group comprising of primary school campus, and a combine campus comprising middle, and secondary, all are situated by the seaside in Tarabya and Yenikoy.

This is an evolving role across the TBS school group with specific responsibilities for secondary. The person would be responsible for Teacher Training and CPD, curriculum development (Cambridge International), academic quality, and oversight of exams, as well as having delegated responsibility for all other aspects of running a secondary school.

The position is exciting, in that it will enable the successful candidate to develop a lasting legacy of quality and compliance. The school is very excited to have achieved Patrons COBIS accreditation, but now feels it wishes to be recognised as a truly British School Overseas by the UK government and will pursue BSO accreditation in the near future, as well as the recognition we currently hold from the Turkish Ministry of Education in providing a first class, unique-to-Türkiye educational experience for both local students and international students in a friendly, innovative and inspiring environment.

Virtually 100% of our student transition to prestige universities in the UK through our fully accredited TBS diploma blended out of both Turkish and British Curriculum.

The school has exciting plans for further development is looking to rapidly build capacity as the programs expand.

Colleagues with Secondary leadership experience, internationally or in the UK are encouraged to apply. You may contact the current Executive director Mr Darren Hugill via email director@otal.k12.tr should you have any specific questions

Tarabya British Schools (TBS) are unique in Türkiye, offering a pioneering blend of CIE and Turkish Curricula. We are recognised and accredited by the Turkish Ministry of Education and Cambridge International. Last year we were awarded the platinum standard for British Schools Overseas by becoming a COBIS Patron member school.

TBS was opened by the current Duke of Edinburgh in 2013, making 2023 a very special anniversary for the school. The schools mission aims to develop the whole child and places great emphasis on the Duke of Edinburgh International Award Scheme.

Our teachers are all gifted in their areas, and our students benefit from this in a harmonious ‘boutique’ atmosphere, where the children and students are nurtured in a highly personalised way, resulting in every single child being accepted at prestigious British, American or Turkish Universities. The vast majority attending those in the UK.

The school itself is on two sites , Primary (Preschool through Grade 4) housed at Yenikoy, where children experience the very best facilities, including even a small-holding. The Middle/High School students are housed in a large converted Villa at Tarabya a short walk from the Seaside.
