Salary: £20,175.21 per annum
35 Hours per week, Monday-Friday Term Time Only plus 5 days.
This is a Church of England sponsored Academy seeking to recruit a Maths tutor for 1:1 and small group GCSE tuition. Candidates should be committed to developing young people and have a high level of communication and organisation skills as well as good mathematics ability.
The post is suitable for gap year students, graduates or undergraduates considering a move into teaching. The ideal candidate is a positive, enthusiastic and pro-active individual who can be an excellent role model for children. Previous tutors have successfully moved on to Teach First.

The Role
To tutor secondary school pupils in Maths in their preparation for GCSE examinations
Key Responsibilities
• To actively promote academic achievement, the development of a “good life” and the opportunities available for young people to enrich their lives through the opportunities presented by living in London
• To schedule small group sessions with pupils in need of support with Maths
• To deliver pre-planned, personalised tutoring to support the development of maths and to help the pupils make rapid and sustained progress
• To track and keep a record of pupils’ progress
• To liaise closely with the Raising Standards Lead to identify targeted pupils and monitor progress.
