The person we are looking for is:

  • A well-qualified and high-quality Science Teacher, a committed professional who can achieve excellent results and spark an enthusiasm for science among their students at all levels, Year 9 to 13, including NZ Scholarship
  • A team player who will be a positive member of a large, vibrant Science department
  • A diligent, hardworking, and effective teacher
  • Someone willing to play a full part in the co-curricular life of the school 
  • To note our Science department offers Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Earth & Space Science, General Science and Horticulture

Remuneration: Depending on qualifications and experience the annual salary is between $66,586 and $103,086 (before tax) as laid out in the NZ secondary teachers’ contract. A one-off, NZ Ministry of Education International Relocation Grant (IRG) of up to NZ$10,000 towards expenses is also currently available (T&Cs apply).

Assistance: Advice and assistance will be available to successful appointees at all times throughout the teacher registration and emigration processes. We have high quality professional learning programmes in place, including induction for overseas teachers.

Start Date: The post commences Term 1 2025 (28 January) but start dates for this position can be negotiable, subject to agreement. Further positions are likely to become available mid-2025.
