Secondary Science Teacher

The British School of Vilnius is looking to appoint an exceptional Secondary Science Teacher (Physics and Chemistry background would be preferable) to join our talented team. Reporting to the Headmaster, you will become part of a highly dedicated team, with the collective responsibility of continuing the initial academic direction of the school. We welcome applications from outstanding, self-motivated and reflective professionals. We’re looking for the right blend of energy, enthusiasm and experience, and a passion for teaching and learning that embraces change and innovation as well as ensuring consistency and continuity. Given that the school is growing our secondary classes, flexibility and positivity will be key factors in your approach.

 

Successful candidates will need to:

  • A B.Ed or subject related degree and PGCE / PGDE or equivalent
  • Proven qualified experience of teaching Science using National Curriculum of England (2-4 years exp)
  • The ability to share your outstanding practice.
  • Interested in career growth.
  • A creative and enthusiastic approach both in and out of the classroom
  • Excellent IT and interpersonal communication skills to work closely with students and parents.

 

As an English school specialising in the English National Curriculum to a diverse international student population, strong English language is an essential requirement and applications from native-level speakers of English will be preferred.

The school reserves the right to appoint before this deadline if the right candidate is found so early applications are recommended. Shortlisted applicants will be contacted by telephone/Video conference for a brief conversation with Mr Andrew Prosser, Headmaster.

Final interviews will be held in the week beginning 21st October 2024. If you have not been contacted by this date, please assume that, on this occasion, your application has not been shortlisted.
