We are seeking passionate and dedicated professional Physycs teacher to join us for the 2024-2025 academic year. Ideally, teachers have had international experience and taught students who have English as a second or third language. Candidates are expected to have a commitment to creating and managing a caring, supportive, purposeful and stimulating learning environment. Ninety per cent of our students are local nationals, for whom English is not the first language. The remaining 10% of students are International and use English as their main language of communication.
Galaxy International School (GIS) is a non-profit private school operating under the umbrella of International Social Foundation BILIM ORDA, which runs a network of private schools in Kazakhstan. We cater for a range of local and international students residing in Almaty and surrounding areas.
The curriculum in the Primary and Secondary follows the Cambridge International Programmes including the Cambridge Primary, Secondary 1 & 2, and Advanced Level. The curriculum is also enriched with local subjects such as Kazakh language, History & Geography of Kazakhstan to meet the needs of our local students. As part of external assessment, our students take the Cambridge International assessments like the Cambridge Primary and Secondary Checkpoints, Cambridge IGCSE and Cambridge International AS/A Levels.
We are an accredited member of COBIS, a registered centre for Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) as well as Cambridge Assessment English.
The successful candidate must have:
· At least 3 years teaching experience in a school environment
· A bachelor degree qualification in education, subject education
· Experience with the Cambridge International Programme
· An up-to-date International Child Protection Certificate
· Police Clearance Letter
· Strong ability in using technology to support learning
· Be willing to be fully involved in extra-curricular activities
· Be a reflective practitioner with the ability to think creatively

Galaxy International School (GIS) is a private co-educational and not-for-profit day school that was established in 2014. Despite the fact that GIS has operated as an international school for several years only, its establishment as an educational institution goes back to 1996.
