About the role
- Part-time (50%)
- Possibly 30% if we are able to appoint an Assistant SENCO to oversee the lower school for one day per week (20%)
- Oversee the identification of SEND needs and SEND provision throughout the school
- Advise on the most effective in-class strategies and TA supported interventions
- Undertake some 1-1 or small group work, particularly with Seniors
- Oversee all SEND Support Plans, EHCPs (none currently) and Access Arrangements
- Liaise with parents and external agencies

- Complete our Application Form
- Attend a face-to-face interview
- Explain any gaps in his/her employment history
- Provide details of professional and character referees
- Complete a self-declaration regarding their criminal record and suitability to work with children
- Provide photographic identification, birth certificate along with proof of any name changes, proof of address and national insurance number.
- Provide evidence of relevant academic and professional qualifications
- Read and agree to adhere to our Safeguarding Policy and our Code of Conduct for Staff
- Complete a medical questionnaire to verify that he/she is sufficiently fit physically to perform his/her duties
- Complete a satisfactory enhanced DBS check
- Not be barred from working with children by the Secretary of State for Education

Heritage School is an independent co-educational day school occupying three adjacent Victorian houses in the centre of Cambridge. Founded in 2007, the school has grown year on year and now educates approximately 200 pupils age 4-16 years.
