We are excited to announce an opening for a part time Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCo) at our school, where we are committed to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all students. In this key role, you will be responsible for the strategic direction and development of our Special Educational Needs (SEN) provision, ensuring that every pupil has the opportunity to achieve their highest potential. You will work closely with the Headteacher and the Senior Leadership Team to implement effective interventions and support systems tailored to individual needs.
As the SENCo, you will lestablish effective systems to identify and meet the diverse needs of our pupils. Your responsibilities will include delivering high-quality teaching, developing engaging curriculum materials, and fostering strong relationships with parents, governors, and external agencies. You will also provide professional development opportunities for staff, ensuring they are equipped to support students with special educational needs effectively.
The ideal candidate will hold Qualified Teacher Status and possess a SENCo qualification or equivalent. You should demonstrate a strong commitment to safeguarding and a proven ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders. This position is part time, working 2 or 3 days per week.
