We have an exciting opportunity within our Special Educational Needs Support Team for the remainder of the academic year for an enthusiastic and committed individual to support the SENDCO in meeting the educational, special educational and additional needs for identified pupils on the school’s SEND register and those who become identified as needing assessment. It is essential that the successful candidate can work on their own initiative and as part of a team, be flexible and adaptable to ensure information transfer and communication is accurate and effective; ultimately to ensure the needs of children are successfully met.
This is an important role that requires an experienced self-motivated individual with excellent communication skills and a friendly and professional approach to ensure the special educational and/or additional learning needs of certain groups of pupils are effectively identified; assessments are effectively made with support programmes identified, written and reported to SENDCO; EHCP applications are made; annual reviews plus other regular reviews are effective and in place to ensure pupils on the SEND register and those requiring assessment make outstanding progress both personally and academically.

About Titus Salt
Titus Salt School is a mixed non-denominational community school and sixth form for pupils aged 11-18. It is located in Baildon, West Yorkshire, and was formerly known as Salt Grammar School.
The school was founded in 1896 by the politician and philanthropist Sir Titus Salt, and has about 1,500 pupils. It was originally on a different site, and used to be segregated into male and female divisions. It moved to a new building, constructed under the Building Schools for the Future programme, in 2008.
