Location: Huish Episcopi Academy

Contract: Permanent (Term time plus 1 week)

Working Hours: 22.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday)

Salary: Actual Salary £12,408.97 (FTE £23,968.00)

Reporting to: Assistant Principal - Inclusion/ SENDCO

The Role:

As an SEND Administrator, you will be responsible for providing high-quality administrative support to the SEND department. Working closely with the SENDCO and other professionals, you will maintain key records, ensure the accurate and timely production of reports, and assist in coordinating support for students with special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update the SEN Register and Vulnerable Register.
  • Produce and manage Individual One Page Profiles and ensure they are reviewed regularly.
  • Provide administrative support for review meetings, including preparing reports and documents.
  • Liaise with parents, external agencies, and staff to ensure effective communication.
  • Support the administration of exam access arrangements for SEN students.
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping of interventions and their impact on student progress.
  • Assist in the supervision of pupils on visits, trips, and during extra-curricular activities.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to inclusion, equality, and diversity in all aspects of the role.


What We’re Looking For:

  • GCSEs in English and Math's (grade C/4 or higher).
  • Strong IT skills, with experience using administrative systems.
  • Excellent organisation and time-management skills.
  • Experience working in an office environment (essential).
  • Previous experience working with children and young people (desirable).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

Huish Episcopi Academy is a large, non-selective, mixed secondary school for pupils aged 11-18 based in the heat of the Somerset Levels with a large catchment area. We are proud to be part of United Learning.  At Huish, we offer the full national curriculum to all students with opportunities for our pupils to engage in a broad range of additional activities in sports, music, and the creative arts.
