This is a Permanent, Part Time vacancy. 

Dean Close Pre-Prep School are looking to appoint a SEND Coordinator for our school. This is a part time position, working 28 hours per week, working during term time.

This role is an excellent opportunity for a highly experienced SENDCO to be instrumental in supporting our ethos of inclusion and ensuring that all children. The responsibilities of this role are:

• Develop and oversee the implementation of the school’s SEND and Accessibility policies, provision, ensuring compliance with current legislation and best practices.
• Maintain the SEND register so that data on SEND and needs are accurate, and support pupils needs
• Work closely with staff and parents to identify needs
• Signpost parents to specialists, co-ordinate visits and assessments, ensure recommendations are shared and implemented.
• Coordinate the training and facilitating of teaching staff in effective strategies for assessing, teaching and monitoring children with SEND.
• Provide guidance to staff on SEND awareness, strategies, and resources to support inclusive teaching practices.

We are looking for a qualified teacher who has experience in working in a SEND role. Ideally, the successful candidate would have a qualification in SEND, such as NASENCo or NPQ SENCO.
