SEND GEMS After School Club Assistant

Casual Relief Contract

Required to work 2.50pm to 6.00pm

Salary Scale 3, Point 5

Term-time only

We are looking for SEND After School Club Assistant to join our team. The successful candidates will be required to provide support in the following aspects:

  • To work with children who have a range of needs including learning, behavioural and physical needs.
  • To demonstrate resilience in managing the behaviour of children with needs.
  • Remain calm under pressure and be able to adapt to change quickly.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of and a genuine commitment to Inclusion.
  • Supporting children to gain confidence and independence with their own personal care and supporting children with developing toileting skills, including changing nappies.

This would suit candidates who are motivated, patient with a calm nature, having great verbal communication skills and a passion for making a difference.

You will need to be creative and able to work on your own initiative, preparing and delivering quality play opportunities within a safe and caring environment.
