Job overview
This is a permanent, full-time post (term-time only), and we are seeking to appoint as soon as possible.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting pupils with autism whom may have additional learning difficulties and behaviours that challenge throughout all aspects of their school day
- Work with pupils both individually and in small groups supporting them to overcome barriers to learning, delivering teaching, providing positive behaviour support and delivering other focused interventions.
- Work as part of a class team, under the direction of the class teacher and trans-disciplinary colleagues, to deliver effective and appropriate teaching, learning and behaviour support in all areas of school life
- Monitor and track progress, providing regular feedback as needed
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
Qualifications and Skills:
- Passion for SEN
- Relevant experience or qualifications in education, special educational needs, or related fields as per person specification
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A genuine commitment to improving outcomes for children and young people with special educational needs
