We are looking to recruit a SEND Tutor to join Bridge College

Hours -  37.5 hours

Working pattern -Term Time | Full Time 

Contract: Permanent

Salary - £32,846.00

Location - Bridge College Openshaw Manchester 


Aim of post

We require a SEND Tutor who will play an exceptional role in delivering high quality education and support to our students in diverse needs.

The ideal candidate will work closely with the Lead Tutor to create an inclusive learning environment where our students can thrive.


Key Responsibilities include but not Exhaustive

  • Responsible for assessment and monitoring of outstanding progress and achievement of students in line with their individual targets
  • Develop high quality learning within a progressive and innovative curriculum which evidences student progress.
  • Work with other staff members including the support workers and the multi-disciplinary team 
  • Safeguard students and colleagues by following the safeguarding polices and procedures
  • Delivery of learning within the college teaching day and contract
  • Collaborate with a range of partners to facilitate student progression 

What you will need to succeed 

  • Degree/Level 5 qualification in a related vocational area
  • PGCE/PGDE in post compulsory education or other relevant teaching qualification
  • Capacity to adapt to changes within role and in character of student cohort
  • Experience of working and teaching young people with learning difficulties and autism 
  • Excellent communication and numeracy skills
