About the role
To provide administrative and organisational activities to the academy as part of the regional support team.
37 hours per week, 40 working weeks per year. Permanent position.

Who we are looking for
To ensure the administrative and organisational activities within the academy are effectively and efficiently maintained and provide excellent service to the overall running of the academy.
Each academy is organised differently and any combination of the duties of the job description will be in accordance with the specific requirements of the academy.
To provide administrative support to the Academy team, dealing with confidential and sensitive issues in a timely, professional and competent manner.
Undertake a range of financial procedures, including placing orders, invoicing, preparation of cheques, banking cash, issuing receipts, reconciling petty cash and dealing with supplier issues
Liaise with pupils, parents/carers
Liaise with other staff and external agencies
To undertake analysis and interpretation of data, and produce detailed reports and complex information as requested by Principal/ Academy Operations Manager.
To oversee and process the Monthly Payroll
Undertake word-processing and IT based tasks including operation of relevant equipment and advanced ICT packages
Organise and provide administrative support for meetings and take notes
Produce, and respond to, correspondence
Process forms, returns, including those to outside agencies
To line manage the Academy Administrator team
Demonstration of tasks to more junior colleagues on a regular basis
Respond to reception and visitor enquiries
Organise arrangements for academy visits and events
Monitor pupil attendance and run reports
Undertake HR administration, such as DBS checks

About Charnwood College
Charnwood College is a mixed, non-selective, non-denominational, 11-18 academy with sixth form, situated in the west of Loughborough in Leicestershire. The academy is part of the David Ross Education Trust and is governed by a Local Governing Body.
The secondary academy has expressive arts facilities which include a dedicated music suite and dance and drama studio. In addition, its sports facilities include a floodlit, all-weather 3G sports pitch, a new sports centre, a 25-metre indoor swimming pool, a gym, a fitness suite, and extensive playing fields.
