Unsted Park School is a specialist residential and day school/6th form college for children and young people with higher functioning autism. We are committed to providing the highest level of education and care in a safe, positive environment that enables each individual to achieve his or her maximum potential.

The focus of the whole school approach is in three core areas: education, independence and inclusion. Based on these core areas we provide individual, child-centred programmes which recognise individual abilities and strengths and help students to reach their full potential. 


We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and proactive individual to provide a home from home experience for our boarders. We would welcome motivated and dynamic people who work well in a close team to help guide our young people to achieve the best possible outcomes. We strive to promote the highest levels of independence in all aspects of their lives. By acting as a positive role model you will provide effective supervision for the young people to thrive and reach their full potential.

This role will suit professional individuals who are prepared to work flexibly in a vibrant, caring and supportive environment.


Previous experience of working within a special needs environment is desirable together with an NVQ3 or L4 Diploma in relevant Care/Children & Young People related area (or willing to work towards this qualification).

About Unsted Park School and Sixth Form

Through our services at Unsted Park School and Sixth Form, we provide specialist education and care to young people aged 7 to 19 years with high functioning autism, Asperger Syndrome and associated disorders.

Set in the tranquil town of Godalming in Surrey, Unsted Park School offers day or weekly residential placements in a safe, healthy and stimulating environment for any child to learn and move positively onto the next stage of their life.
