Job overview
Bromley High School is looking for a well-qualified, energetic and committed Senior School SEND and EAL Coordinator to oversee our SEND policy, procedures and provision.
As an integral member of our Middle Leadership team, you will assist with the strategic development of SEND policy and provision, ensuring changes in legislation and current research are implemented effectively. You will also oversee screening and assessment procedures, collecting and interpreting specialist assessment data to inform best practice.
In addition to this, you will also provide specialist one-to-one, small group and classroom support, as well as some class teaching depending on your area of specialism. You will also help provide guidance to staff on SEND teaching, empowering our staff to adopt inclusive and proactive teaching for all pupils.
Along with an excellent degree, you will need a teaching qualification, comprehensive knowledge of SEND needs and legislation, as well as recognised SEND qualifications (e.g. DiP, Spd, AMBDA, MA in Education). You will possess extensive teaching experience, including experience of working with SEND and EAL students.
