Job overview

Due to group expansion, Taaleem are hiring Shadow Teachers to join their newest Charter School, Al Forsan KG School this August 2022.

Al Forsan KG School - A Taaleem Charter School

As a leading education provider in the Middle East, Taaleem is supporting the UAE Vision and National Agenda 2021, and the Emirate of Abu Dhabi in their commitment to establishing a “First Rate Education System” for all students.   The Charter Schools is a third education model in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and it is the outcome of a unique partnership between the government and the private sectors.

As part of this new initiative we were awarded 4 schools in 2019 to manage and operate, with the aim of raising the quality of education; playing a significant role in shaping the present and future lives of Emirati youth.  This recently increased to 6 schools from August 2021 and again to 9 schools in August 2022.

Al Forsan KG School delivers the American Curriculum (NY Standards) and is situated on a purpose built campus, with seven KG1 classes and five KG2 classes.

We are seeking outstanding, dedicated and resilient Shadow Teachers who  are committed to the long-term goals of this project.  We would like to recruit Shadow Teachers who believe they can make a difference to their students, who understand that change is a process and who want to take an active role in sharing their expertise as the school continues to grow.

The projected growth of the Taaleem Branch Charter School Project will offer a broad range of opportunities in the coming years.

The Role

The Shadow Teacher plays a pivotal role in supporting the school in maximizing the learning of students in and out of the classroom and in ensuring student safety. The Shadow Teacher is responsible in meeting the needs of the SEN students to ensure they achieve their Individual Education Plan (IEP) targets. The Shadow Teacher works under the direction of the SEN leader and the Homeroom Teacher.

We are also looking to hear from experienced professionals interested in joining our support functions within our schools and Central Office.

We recruit the very best international teachers who can deliver our international curricula in a creative, collaborative, and highly engaging manner. Taaleem is committed to inspiring young minds and helping them to identify and develop their passions and talents. Candidates must hold a recognised teaching qualification, e.g. Bachelor’s of Education or PGCE to gain KHDA and ADEK approval.

History of Taaleem

The origins of Taaleem began in 2004 when Beacon Education, a school management company was set up to develop and run high quality education projects. Beacon Education was created to meet the need for top-quality schools as the region’s population continues to grow.

Our first schools opened in September 2005 and two years later, His Excellency Nasser Hassan Al-Shaikh, Chairman of the Board of Taaleem, spearheaded a major ongoing investment in Beacon Education by National Bonds, a Dubai-based private joint stock company with around 50% ownership by the Government of Dubai.

Taaleem is the assumed name through which we will continue to deliver our promise to inspire students and help them to identify and develop their passions and talents.
