In addition, there is a £100 per month honorarium payment on successful completion of the probationary period.

We have an exciting opportunity for an energetic and motivated Site Supervisor to join our team to help us ensure that our school provides a safe, welcoming and purposeful environment for pupils, staff and visitors.
The pupils, staff and Trustees of Biddick Academy are looking for a practical and well-motivated person for the post of Site Supervisor to join our team of committed staff. We are very proud of our premises and how it serves the community so we especially want someone who will really care for our school, ensuring it looks its best, is safe and exemplifies the high expectations we have of our pupils.
The role will include a wide range of responsibilities and duties connected with the fabric of the building, health and safety, grounds and facilities maintenance and security. You will need to:
- be a hands on individual who can develop and implement systems/procedures as well as maintain current ones
- be sympathetic to environmental concerns regarding the school and grounds
- contribute to projects and maintenance schedules
- be practical, with good DIY skills

Biddick Academy is a co-educational secondary school based in Washington, near Sunderland, for students aged 11-16.
In 1997, Biddick was one of the first 11 schools in England to become a specialist sports college. The academy’s facilities include a sports hall, a dance studio, a fitness suite, a gymnasium, a full-size 3G pitch, floodlit tennis courts, a theatre and ICT suites.
