We are looking for a Sixth Form Administrator. This is an exciting opportunity to join GLT/Brakenhale School and become an integral member of the Sixth Form team. The role of a sixth form administrator is pivotal in ensuring the smooth and effective operation of the sixth form program within an educational institution. This position involves comprehensive student records management, including enrolment, attendance tracking, and academic performance documentation. The administrator serves as a key communicator, liaising between students, parents, and teaching staff, addressing inquiries and providing essential information.

Main responsibilities:

 

●       Act as a point of contact between students, parents, and teaching staff

●       Respond to enquiries and provide information about the sixth form program

●       Act as a point of contact between students, parents, and teaching staff

●       Respond to enquiries and provide information about the sixth form program

●       To liaise with parents/carers, students and staff to answer queries or redirect as necessary

●       Assist with the organisation of Parent Open Evenings for Y12 & Y13

●       Setting up a calendar overview of the term and flagging up forthcoming Sixth Form events

●       Assisting with UCAS administration

●       Assisting with trip letters and consent forms and collating these when they are returned

●       Receive calls from parents re sickness/absence and record on Bromcom

●       Contact parents regarding unregistered students

●       Create Bromcom reports on attendance, lates etc.

●       Weekly admin of student sanctions, letters to parents, information to students and staff

●       Take telephone calls and messages, deal with general enquiries, re-directing and prioritising as necessary

●       Update student/parent records on Bromcom

●       Maintain stationery supplies and orders

●       Maintain student filing for Sixth Form

●       Point of contact for parents and students

●       Main point of contact for all student queries including curriculum queries and concerns

●       Create ad-hoc reports and assist with projects

●       Assisting with arrangements for Sixth Form events including catering requests and room bookings

●       Support students in all areas of their school life and escalate concerns if required

 

You will need:

 

●       GCSE Math and English Grade C/4 or equivalent

●       Good literacy and numeracy skills

●       Appropriate experience of operating in a similar role

●       Knowledge of using IT systems and packages, in particular Microsoft Office
