We are currently looking for a Progress Coach for our Sixth Form to work around students’ needs, when you will be proactively supporting students to achieve the best that they can in their academic and vocational studies and to manage issues related to their personal development, behaviour or welfare that might be barriers to their progress or achievement.

This will include:

    ·        Supporting students in achieving their full academic potential via one to one mentoring, action planning and close monitoring.

·        Preparing students for their next steps whether that be progression within Further Education, to apprenticeship or applications for university or employment.

·        Planning and delivering a comprehensive tutorial programme, which includes a focus on developing study skills such as time management, resilience and revision strategies.

·        Supporting work experience placements for students to ensure RH6 meets the 16-19 study programme requirements.

The ideal candidate must have excellent oral and written communication skills and experience of coaching or mentoring young people. Previous experience of working in an education environment is desirable but not essential.

Some evening work may occasionally be required.

This position is offered on a fixed term contract until 31st August 2025.
