Qatar Foundation Schools are expanding rapidly, and we are seeking an exceptional Social Emotional Learning (SEL) Coordinator to join our team. Qatar Foundation’s Pre-University Education is comprised of 13 schools and centers serving a diverse student body ranging from 6 months old to 20 years of age. As the SEL Coordinator, you will be a key member of the Safeguarding and Wellbeing Team, leading the systemic implementation of social and emotional learning programs across QF Schools. Your expertise, leadership, and collaborative mindset will shape the development of emotional and social competencies for both students and educators, ensuring an environment where everyone can flourish. You will collaborate with teachers, school leaders, and departments to cultivate and sustain a positive school climate and culture while staying updated on best practices in SEL, inclusive practices, positive discipline, and school culture.
You will guide the integration of SEL principles into school environments, curricula, and strategic plans while designing and delivering professional development workshops to support effective SEL curriculum implementation and instruction. Additionally, you will develop and facilitate workshops for parents and the wider community to foster social-emotional growth and awareness.
The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, staff, and parents from diverse cultural and educational backgrounds. You should have deep knowledge of social-emotional learning, positive discipline, school climate development, and inclusive practices, along with a proven ability to design, implement, and assess SEL programs that drive positive student outcomes. Experience working collaboratively with educators and leaders to create strategic plans and deliver professional development workshops is highly desirable. A minimum of three years of experience in social-emotional learning, school climate and culture, or a related field is required, along with a strong background in program development, implementation, and assessment.

Key Responsibilities:
Ø Provides direction and coordination for the effective implementation of QF Schools’ social and emotional learning programs and curricula by which kids and adults develop fundamental emotional and social competencies and experiences.
Ø Responsible for systemic implementation of SEL programs including standards, staff development, curriculum, and assessment and develops, adapts, and supports SEL programs across QF Schools
Ø Works with teachers and school leaders to build and deepen a positive school climate and culture.
Ø Stays current on best practices in social and emotional learning, inclusive practices, positive discipline and school culture and climate.
Ø Provides guidance on designing social emotional learning integration into the school.
Ø Creates professional development to support the social emotional learning curriculum and instruction by using best practices, including research on learning theory and content standards.
Ø Creates and works collaboratively with other departments for the integration of social and emotional learning education aligned with the wider QF School’s strategic plan.
Ø Designs social and emotional learning education workshops for parents and community.
Ø Assesses and verifies short-term and long-term goals of the SEL program.
Ø Uses data to make decisions and adjustments to the SEL program and policy development.
Ø Has strong leadership and communication skills and can effectively collaborate with students, staff and parents with diverse cultural, social, economic and education backgrounds and abilities.
Ø Work closely with school administrators to support effective leadership at the intersection of social, emotional, academic, and pedagogical work.
Ø Collaborate with school teams, TLC and other appropriate support staff to assist with strategic planning to ensure better student outcomes.
Ø Provide implementation support and technical assistance to schools trained in key CASEL strategies.
Ø Connect schools to SEL-related community partners, resources, tools, professional development, etc.
Ø Other reasonable tasks as assigned by supervisor
