We are a co-educational nonselective independent coastal school, offering an outstanding academic journey from Nursery to Year 11, located on the south coast of Hampshire. We strive to understand the challenges faced by each child by getting to know them very well indeed. Our staff keep a close eye on the progress of each individual, discussing them by name at regular formal and informal meetings. Only in this way can we tailor the support we offer them because every child has their own challenges to overcome. We strive to help them as individuals rather than as a cohort. To this end, we introduce academic mentors as they enter the Upper School. Most importantly, we look to celebrate their successes in school or outside it; supporting them to achieve their ambitions.

The school now has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Social Media and Comms Coordinator to join our fantastic team. This is a part time role (22.5 hours per week) spread over five days, Monday to Friday.

About the role

Located in a semi-rural setting, a stone’s throw from the Sea, Meoncross School and Nursery provides Independent Education for boys and girls aged 2.5 to 16 years. We currently have an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified and experienced individual to join our passionate and committed team. We are looking for an enthusiastic Social Media and Comms Coordinator will support the school’s communications across several channels including social media, newsletters, and publications.

As a Social Media and Comms Coordinator, you will contribute towards all aspects of marketing at the school and will ensure all content aligns with the school’s brand values, ensuring collateral is aligned with the brand guidelines. You will drive forward a dynamic social media presence to showcase the school in a positive manner. The role will also require attendance and operational input to support the Admissions Manager with key school recruitment events such as open days.

The role will support the wider marketing strategy as set out by the Head and Pod Marketing Manager which will ensure the school is represented, in line with an agreed strategic positioning and clear ethos to ensure the maximum number of enquiries and leads are provided to the admissions team.

Who we are looking for

To be successful in this role, it is essential that you are a self-starter who can operate with autonomy and learns quickly. You must be dedicated to exceeding customer’s expectations, through delivery of gold standard service and have excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to make an emotional connection through communication.

You should have experience of supporting communication campaigns including newsletters, proof reading, and content creation, experience in Marketing and/or Brand Management and experience of managing professional social media accounts. Required IT skills for this role include Canva, META, LinkedIn Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook skills.
