St Philip’s School is a special school and offers places to 185 pupils aged 9 to 19 with a wide range of ability levels and additional needs including complex autism.

The school is located on a spacious green site in Chessington, in the Royal Borough of Kingston and has extensive indoor and outdoor sports facilities, vocational facilities and a dedicated pupil support team offering a range of therapies.

Dedicated staff are able to support pupils to develop at their own pace due to small class sizes, whether following academic pathways or vocational skills. Applications are invited from hard-working, experienced, committed, and motivated practitioners from special or mainstream backgrounds. Some experience of Special Educational Needs will be an advantage, but not essential. However, a keen interest in developing your professional knowledge and understanding of young people who have moderate to severe learning difficulties and ASD or other complex needs, is essential!

This role will require the successful candidate to work with pupils who have a range of sensory and physical needs identified in their EHCP. The successful candidate will work closely with the Speech and Language Therapist in order to deliver programs to groups or individuals.
