Salary: £21,408.00– £25,561.54 per annum dependant on experience (Based on full time hours)
Hours of Week: Full time or Part time Considered
Contract Type: Permanent
Requirements:
· Level 2 or Level 3 Sports Coaching qualification.
· Relevant work experience in a similar background within a SEMH secondary setting.
· Experience in a sports coaching setting
· Strong behaviour management skills.
· Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
· The ability to maintain and develop a ‘culture of vigilance’ with regard to safeguarding and child protection.
As a Sports Coach you will:
· Deliver engaging and age-appropriate sports sessions to Secondary school pupils.
· Plan and organise sports activities, drills, and games to enhance pupils' physical abilities and skills.
· Teach fundamental sports techniques, rules, and strategies to pupils.
· Collaborate with school staff to coordinate sports events and competitions.
· Motivating, engaging and encouraging the pupil(s) as required by providing levels of individual attention, reassurance and help with learning tasks as appropriate to pupils’ needs.
· Promoting the acceptance and inclusion of the pupil with SEN and encouraging pupils to interact with each other in an appropriate and acceptable manner.
· Provide opportunities to progress academically, social and emotionally.
· Develop self-confidence, positive self-image and independence.
· Knowing and applying school policies on Child Protection, Health and Safety, Behaviour, Teaching and Learning, Equal Opportunities etc.
· Complying with legal and organisational requirements for maintaining the health, safety and security of yourself and others in the learning environment.
