Job overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic, dedicated, and well-qualified coach or former athlete to coach swimming and/ or water polo at King’s. We are hoping that the successful candidate will deliver in the region of 4-5 hours of coaching per week to a range of age groups.
Person specification
The ideal candidate will:
- Have relevant swim coaching and/or water polo qualifications
- Have the experience of, and ability to, deliver high quality and well-planned coaching sessions in swimming and/or water polo (age range from 9 - 18 years)
- Be first-aid trained
- Have the ability to build strong working relationships at a variety of levels
- Be a confident, assured communicator at all levels
- Be a good team player and able to work collaboratively
- Be empathetic, kind and an excellent listener
- Have a personable and professional manner with a strong work ethic
- Ensure a consistency of approach across the whole school and manage progression from the junior to the senior schools
As part of the interview process, all candidates will be required to deliver a swimming or water polo coaching session.
