About the role

Due to an expansion of the school, we are seeking to recruit a well-qualified school counsellor. A Master’s Degree in Psychology is a required qualification for this role. In the capacity of School Counsellor, you will work alongside the school’s Lead Counsellor in designing and implementing a counselling programme that meets the requirements of the school and students and enable students to achieve success in all aspects of their life.

We are happy to consider part-time applicants for this role.

Responsibilities as below but are not limited to: 

  1. Support the lead counsellor in designing and implementing a counselling program aligned with the International School Counsellor Association standards. 
  2. Provide support for students concerning academic, social-emotional and personal concerns.
  3. Meet with parents or consult with external parties, such as child protective services or other social service agencies.
  4. Interact and consult with school administration, teachers, school staff, parents, students, and external stakeholders.
  5. Adhere to Child Safeguarding policies and procedures as specified by school and regulatory authorities.

Skills Required:

  1. A Master’s Degree in Psychology is a required qualification for this role
  2. Resilient and agile decision making skills

  4. Excellent Communication Skills 
  5. Positive attitude 
  6. Superior Interpersonal skills -patience, tolerance, empathy and enthusiasm to interact with staff and students
