The successful candidate will manage the Student Services Reception area and will be the lead first aider with responsibility for care of students, both in the Medical Room and throughout the school.
Rated as “Good” by OFSTED and boasting a vibrant sixth form which has been ranked amongst the very best in the country for almost a decade, this is a unique and exciting opportunity to join a school on the final leg of its journey to outstanding!
If you are able to:
- To provide for the day to day needs of students, for example: provision of timetables, directions to classes and provision of information
- Respond to First Aid ‘on call’ requests either by seeing staff or students in the Medical Room or attending classrooms, communal spaces etc. to provide the appropriate first aid care
- Maintain a friendly, positive and supportive approach to students and maintain positive relationships with them
- Liaison with parents/carers, relevant community specialist nurses and other agencies to effectively support students with medical conditions
- Work with outside agencies including Social Services, Family Solutions and Diabetes clinicians
- Support other departments as required, including covering in the Isolation Zone or at Main Reception
