Study Skills Coach (Afan College)

To deliver workshops that respond to students learning needs. The focus of the workshops will be to develop, academic skills, learning strategies and personal skills that will facilitate student success.

Salary: Scale 4, Points 21 – 24, £21,335 - £23,219 per annum, pro rata.   (equivalent to £14,549 - £15,833 per annum)  

Hours of Work: 30 hours per week (including occasional early mornings, evenings and weekends).

Contract: Permanent, part time, part year, 37.8 weeks per annum.  

Location: NPTC Group of Colleges (initially based at Afan College).

Qualifications: Candidates must have a level 4 qualification in a relevant discipline, and/or relevant equivalent experience. Candidates must hold a level 2 qualification in English and Maths (GCSE or equivalent) and be IT literate to Level 2 (with working knowledge of MS Office).  Experience of developing, planning and delivering workshops is essential as is working in a student facing role.  Basic Skills 9297 Level 2 (or equivalent) would be advantageous.
