Job Title: Subject Lead for Business

Location: Rugeley, Staffordshire

Salary: £31,650 to £49,084 (MPS1 – UPS3), plus TLR 2A £3,390

Start Date: Easter 2025

About the Computing Faculty:

As part of the Computing Faculty remit, Business is offered at KS4 and KS5. The faculty provides an excellent environment for its students to thrive and aims to enable students to develop as commercially minded and enterprising individuals. The Subject Lead for Business would be a key part of the faculty, overseeing the curriculum and promoting the subject to the wider school team.

About You:

As a Subject Lead for Business at The Hart School you will be passionate about the importance of Business and its relevance to the real-world, bringing learning to life. Our ideal candidate would:

·       Be able to promote and develop the subject across the school.

·       Be able to demonstrate high quality teaching.

·       Set high expectations and be a positive role model – consistently demonstrating the positive attitudes, values and behaviours which we expect from both students and colleagues.

Requirements:

To apply for the Teacher of Business opportunity you must have:

·       Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in a relevant field

·       Experience in teaching Business at KS4 and KS5

·       The ability to lead a subject, including staff development

The Hart School is an 11-18, non-selective, oversubscribed school from September 2021 located in Rugeley, Staffordshire. We currently have 1195 students on roll including a growing sixth form of 150 students.
