Swimming Coach

Due to an increase in enrolments, Repton Dubai is seeking to appoint an outstanding Swimming Coach for August 2024, or earlier.

The post-holder will take an active role in increasing our Swim provision across the school, and will be required to teach curriculum swimming from FS1 to Year 10 as well as lead on swim squads and fixtures. Experience of teaching a wide range of abilities and age groups in addition to the ability to independently plan and deliver outstanding teaching is essential. Repton has three pools which are used before and after school for extra-curricular activities as well as during the day for the PE curriculum. We aim to develop confident swimmers and key to their enjoyment and progress is our staff teaching in a positive and warm manner alongside setting the highest of expectations. The Swimming Coach will be part of our PE team and will possess relevent qualifications and expertise in swimming; candidates holding ASA Level 2 or equivalent will be at a significant advantage. A lifeguard qualification is desirable but not essential. 

The swimming coach will work closely with our Head of Swimming and Heads of PE as well as communicating effectively with class room teachers and parents. 

This is a full time role, Monday to Friday and the successful candidate will be required to support our fixture programme.

Experience & Education Requirements for Coaches  

• Swim Coaching or Teaching qualifications at ASA Level 2 or equivalent
• Experience teaching learn to swim programmes in schools or clubs
• Experience selecting squads and preparing swimmers for competitions
