We are looking to appoint an experienced Swimming Coach to join our team in January 2024 to work alongside an already experienced department. Swimming specialism is essential, however, candidates will also be highly considered if they can demonstrate the ability to coach in other sporting areas. The ideal candidate will be a graduate who has competed at a high level in swimming, enjoy working as part of a team, and be keen to gain more experience in an educational setting. The successful candidate will be working alongside other experienced team members to contribute to the whole school swimming programme (EYFS - Y11) and performance swim teams.
Our ideal candidate will have:
· A minimum of a Level 2 swimming qualification (or equivalent) is required.
· A Bachelor's degree is preferred.
· Lifeguard or Swim Rescue Award is preferred.
· Experience of teaching a wide range of children in commercial, club or educational environments.
· Excellent command in English language
· Contribute to curriculum development and adaptation with particular attention to the swimming curriculum. Uphold responsibility for the monitoring and assessment of students’ attainment and progress.
· Develop excellence amongst students by identifying exceptional learners and subsequently providing performance pathways.
· Willingness and ability to attend and run extra-curricular activities, squad training and competitions.

Initial long list interviews will be conducted via Zoom. Candidates who successfully reach the short-list will be asked to complete a task relevant to the role with a full interview with key leaders. Where possible, this will be in-person.
