Who are we?

Manchester Communication Primary Academy is a popular and modern primary school in North Manchester.

Our last Ofsted inspection graded the school as Good in all areas as ‘The Principal has created a school with a ‘heart’; a kind, caring and supportive community. There are 25 different languages spoken yet every pupil is treated as a member of the same family.’ (Ofsted 2017)

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for someone who is: Hardworking, reliable, nurturing and experienced in working in the classroom. You will need the confidence and ability to coach TAs in the full range of year groups, and deliver research informed training. As such, you’ll need to be an excellent and experienced practitioner. You’ll need to have good organisational skills as you develop your own coaching schedule. It is expected that the successful candidate will be a positive presence around the school and in the dining hall.

Additional skills and experienced related to working with pupils who have SEND, would also be very beneficial.

What does the role involve?

This is an exciting new role and will play a key part in the school’s development by supporting our fantastic team of TAs to be the very best they can be. The main focus of this role is practice-based, working alongside TAs in the classrooms. You will do this by providing regular instructional coaching (we’ll provide you with training on how to do this), feedback and research informed training to the TA team across school.

You will be a vocal champion for children with SEND and children with the lowest 20% of attainment, supporting the SENDCo in ensuring that they are in receipt of the best possible quality-first provision.

Across the school, you will support the operation of breakfast club and indoor lunches, ensuring that they are calm, orderly and purposeful.

When does the role start?

June/July 2022 – negotiable

If I’m still interested, what should I do next?

We think that applying for a new role should always be seen as a 2-way process, you have to be right for us, but the school also has to be right for you. So if you are interested in applying, please do give us a call to arrange a visit or informal telephone conversation with the Head teacher.
