We are looking for an enthusiastic person to join our associate staff team enabling our students, with learning difficulties and additional needs, to fulfil their potential. The role would provide targeted maths intervention for students aged between 11 - 16, with much of the learning centred around the Key Stage 2 curriculum. The starting salary range is £16,580 - £19,005 per annum (equivalent to £24,113 - £27,663 FTE) with hours of work in term time between 9:00am – 3:15pm (28.75 per week, 39 weeks term time).
The successful candidate will have an affinity with mathematics and a good grasp of the key concepts that underpin the understanding and facilitate progress in this subject. They will be confident to guide individuals or small groups at the teacher's request and work well as part of a team.
The Park School Provision
The Park School is a specialist school with 110 places for students aged 11 – 16 years olds with moderate learning difficulties and additional needs. We are fortunate to be situated in a beautiful site in Woking. Our school is part of the Weydon Multi Academy Trust (WMAT), working with other great schools which makes us stronger together.
At The Park School, we match high levels of ambition with nurture so that our students can flourish. We work in collaboration with our families, therapy teams and other agencies to achieve the best outcome for each young person. Through a rich and personalised curriculum, we provide an excellent education for every learner. Students access a range of qualifications including GCSEs, BTECs, Entry Levels and ASDAN awards. We bring learning to life by offering an array of trips, visits and experiences, and making good use of our local area and beyond.

During their time with us, students are well-prepared for life after The Park School through their PSHE and careers programmes, work experience and Year 11 weekly college link programme. We encourage our students to be independent, to self-advocate and to be their authentic selves. We help students to develop the foundations needed to grow into valued members of society, successfully navigate adulthood, and lead happy and fulfilling lives.

About The Park School
The Park School is a mixed Special School for students aged 11 to 16 with EHCPs for Learning and Additional Needs, drawing students from a wide range of socio-economic groups and from a wide radius. We have the same expectations as a mainstream secondary school and offer a secondary curriculum model. Our focus is very much on outcomes at 16, aiming to equip our students with the best academic and social and emotional foundations for adulthood.
