About the Role:
We are looking for a Teacher in Business Studies to join us at The Bedford Sixth Form. As a Teacher you will play a pivotal role in the success of our students through:
- Preparing, delivering, assessing and verifying subject specialisms on a range of courses and levels.
- Supporting and Guiding students to achieve success and realise their potential.
- Managing students’ learning and provide a high quality learning experience.
- Contributing pro-actively to developments in the Centre in curriculum development and innovative teaching.
- Participating in marketing and promotion activities to support a range of programmes and learning opportunities.
About you:
- Degree in a relevant subject
- Certificate in Education or equivalent in line with the Statutory Instrument
- English and Maths or similar at GCSE grade A-C or equivalent Current experience of teaching A-Level & Diploma Business.
- Experience of teaching in a Sixth Form or FE College environment with students 16 – 18 year olds
- Demonstrable record of success in teaching
- Up to date knowledge of subject area, syllabus, and teaching methods
- Experience of using ILT to enhance teaching and learning
- Evidence of high performance
- Experience of working effectively with people from diverse backgrounds
- Ability to communicate effectively and confidently face to face, on the telephone and in writing
- Responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and for raising any concerns
