About the Role
Harrogate College are looking to recruit Variable-Hours Teachers to work with our Adult ESOL students. Day and/or evening sessions are available. We offer the ESOL curriculum from Entry level to Level 2, including accredited and non-accredited courses.
What You Will Do
- Plan, prepare and develop schemes of work, session plans, teaching and learning resources, learning and assessment plans.
- Develop the essential knowledge and understanding to teach ESOL learners.
- Create individual SMART learning targets linked to learner study programme/course.
- Monitor students to achieve their targets and develop their skills to enable progression.
About You
- Hold a L5 Teaching Qualification (e.g. Cert Ed, PGCE, Delta). Celta is not recognised in the UK as a full teaching qualification,
- Have UK ESOL based experience teaching adult in colleges in the UK,
- You should have a relevant degree in English, or similar.

This will complement the college’s existing tech centre which is home to its motor vehicle, electrical, joinery and welding workshops.
