The Role

You will be working with a team of fifteen experienced teachers and support staff, many of whom come from an industrial as well as teaching background and who teach across the range of courses and levels offered. You should be adaptable to a wide range of courses and units offered in forensics & science to provide the department with flexibility in teaching and be willing to support your colleagues and students in their pursuit of excellence.

 

The Successful Candidate

The successful candidate’s knowledge, skills, experience, abilities and qualities will include:

  • Experience or background in Forensics/Science (academic or vocational) for teaching on Level 2 and 3 programmes
  • Ability apply knowledge to practical scenarios.
  • Must be able or willing to teach Forensic units as well as other science programmes and levels.

Northampton College is a general further education (GFE) college in the East Midlands region which opened in 1973, with circa 10,000 students and a turnover of circa £40M. Inspectors praised leaders and managers for creating a “welcoming, calm and supportive environment” while working with stakeholders “very successfully” to understand the skills needs of the local, regional and national economy. The positive inspection recognised the College’s continued drive to equip students with the high-quality skills they need to progress rapidly in their learning and future careers.
