The Team
The School of Academy, Public Sector and Commercial Enterprise (APC) supports over a thousand students studying across nine curriculum areas. The Public Services team are passionate about delivering an excellent range of full time Level 1, 2 and 3 BTEC qualifications as well as a HNC/D. The full suite of programmes are used to support all 16-18year olds and adult learners in progressing to HE and equipping them with skills, knowledge and behaviours for a varied range of employment opportunities in this industry.
The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for someone to come and join our team to teach across the breadth of the programme from level 1 to level 5. Support for our students is key, both academically and pastorally, working collaboratively with other departments across college and ensuring timely success for the students. The quality management of the courses is essential in this coordination role.
The Successful Candidate
The successful candidate’s knowledge, skills, experience, abilities and qualities will include:
- Experience of teaching young people and adults as a teacher.
- Background in one or more element of Public Service.
- Enthusiastic, motivated, and committed to supporting and motivating students.
- Organisational skills essential with excellent time management and accuracy.

Northampton College is a mixed, non-selective, non-denominational further education college situated in Northamptonshire. It is a 16-plus institution with three campuses: a major building at its main Northampton site, a smaller campus near the town centre and another 20 miles away in Daventry. It provides places for around 9,000 students aged 16 and over, most of whom are full-time and aged 16-18.
Northampton College was opened in 1973. It merged with Daventry Tertiary College to expand its Daventry campus in August 2004, and its Booth Lane campus reopened after a large redevelopment in 2012.
