The Modern Foreign Languages Department is a dedicated and enthusiastic team who work collaboratively to provide an enjoyable, engaging and relevant learning experience for students. Department members constantly strive to raise student achievement and offer students every opportunity to develop confidence and independence.

We appreciate colleagues who are imaginative, flexible and can inspire and support pupils with a variety of learning needs. Applicants will be expected to teach Arabic to KS4, provide departmental and whole school cover and be given applicable PPA time. We welcome applications from ECTs as well as experienced teachers.


The vacancy is

  • For a part-week and part-time teacher on Tuesdays and Thursday 
  • Fixed term for 2 years from September 2024


Working Pattern

We operate a 2 week timetable (Week A and Week B). You would be required to work the following pattern with PPA delivered in addition at a mutually-agreed time:

  • Week A: Tuesday Period 2 and Thursday Period 1
  • Week B: Tuesday Period 3 & Period 4 and Thursday Period 1

Hampstead School is Camden’s largest maintained comprehensive School, educating 1330 students (including 300 in our stand-alone Sixth Form).
