We are seeking to appoint a teacher of boys’ physical education including enrichment lead and educational visits coordinator on a permanent basis from January 2025. The opportunity to teach at key stage 5 is also available to suitably qualified and experienced candidates. The ability to teach a second subject is highly desirable, but not essential.
The successful applicant will possess extensive knowledge and experience of extra-curriculum and enrichment activities, including residential and overseas visits, and will have the drive, commitment and energy to lead this important area of the College’s personal development curriculum.
The successfully appointed person will:
- Have oversight for growing and developing a rich and wide range of extra-curricular and enrichment activities and personal development opportunities.
- Secure good engagement and participation so that all pupils benefit from valuable and positive life-changing experiences in their time in school.
- Lead the management and administration of Garth Hill Extra – the recording of pupils’ participation, achievement and certification at various levels, as well promoting and celebrating pupils’ achievement and success.
- Lead the Duke of Edinburgh’s award scheme in the College.
