Stamford School is seeking an experienced and inspiring Teacher of BTEC Agriculture to deliver the Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Diploma and Extended Certificate in Agriculture. This role involves teaching sixth form students about various aspects of agriculture, preparing them for careers in the industry or further education.
This is a new course for Stamford School (from September 2025) and has already generated significant interest in our community and further afield. We are looking for someone with the passion and skills to develop this course for us.
If you have a strong background in agriculture and educating students, we would be interested in speaking with you. The successful candidate will be closely affiliated with one of our more established departments to ensure day-to-day support. However, the successful candidate will also need to demonstrate the ability to work independently.
Essential Criteria
- A good honours degree in an Agricultural related discipline. A teaching qualification is desirable, but not essential.
- Experience of teaching or working with Sixth Form aged students.
- Inspire respect and credibility through the discharge of their duties and use their expertise to influence others in relation to their subject.
- Demonstrate a good knowledge and understanding of current issues relating to the personal development of young people.
- Ability to inspire, challenge, motivate and empower students as they prepare for life beyond school.
- Able to build and maintain effective relationships with staff, students and parents.
