Sedbergh School, founded in 1525 by Roger Lupton, Provost of Eton, is one of the leading co-educational boarding Schools in the north of England. Set in the spectacular Yorkshire Dales National Park and within easy reach of UNESCO World Heritage site the English Lake District, the School also benefits from fast motorway and rail access to the rest of the UK.

The Senior School is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Teacher of Business and Economics to inspire and encourage all pupils to fulfil their potential. The Teacher of Business and Economics will offer outstanding support to the classroom with engaging learning and quality teaching. A willingness to be fully involved in the busy extra-curricular life of the School is essential. Alongside a competitive salary, Sedbergh School can offer an attractive benefits package, which includes a Cycle to Work Scheme, free use of our swimming pool and state of the art gym (outside pupil usage) and free lunches with the boarders during term time.

About Sedbergh School

The magnificent location of Sedbergh means pupils can enjoy school life in a safe, healthy and dynamic environment. The opportunities for outdoor activities are almost unlimited - from a walk in the hills to mountain biking, or the calm of fishing to the challenge of caving. While academic study is central for every pupil the experiences of a Sedberghian are not confined to the classroom .

Sedbergh is a School where pupils are presented  with a huge range of opportunity. It is a School which expects its pupils to seize the opportunity or, better, create the opportunity. It is our firm belief that it is much better to try something and fail rather than avoiding something because of the fear of failing. This culture ultimately breeds a positive attitude and greatly increases the likelihood of success.
