Job overview
Nexus International School Malaysia is seeking an inspirational teacher of Business and Economics to join our highly successful department. If you’re keen to demonstrate outstanding standards of teaching and learning, with a passionate, enthusiastic, creative and dynamic attitude then we want to hear from you!
Nexus is located in Putrajaya, near Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia. Established in 2008 as part of the Taylor’s Education Group, we currently enrol 700 students from Early Years to Year 13 who learn through the IPC, IGCSE and IBDP curricula. We have an inclusive admissions policy and you can expect to teach learners with learning and language needs as well as exceptionally academic and talented children.
The student population is made up of over 30 different nationalities giving our school a truly global character. Previous international experience is not required, but the desire to work in a diverse international community is essential. All staff are also expected to contribute to the co-curricular programme.
Nexus is committed to developing personalised learning so that all learners, given their individual gifts and talents, are challenged and make progress. As an Apple Distinguished School we expect all teachers to use technology in a transformative way to enhance learning.
The successful candidate will be able to teach Business Studies to pre university level as well as Economics up to IGCSE. Business is a popular subject at both IGCSE and IB. Experience of the IB is an advantage but not essential. We provide a professionally stimulating and collaborative, working environment with well-motivated students. We offer a competitive salary and benefits package as well as outstanding professional learning opportunities.
For further details about our school, please refer to our website www.nexus.edu.my. To apply, please upload a full CV and covering letter, addressing the job description and including names and contact details for three referees (one being your current Headteacher or Principal) by Thursday 21st November at 9am (KL time). Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis and early application is advised as an appointment may be made before the closing date.
Nexus International School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff, volunteers and other third parties to share this commitment. Safer recruitment practice and pre-employment background checks will be undertaken before any appointment is confirmed.”
