The Humanities Department in the Senior School at Brighton College comprises four subjects: History, Geography, Business and Economics. The Department is characterized by a strong sense of collaboration and the restless pursuit of outstanding pupil progress. Its members strive to ensure that both the curriculum and its delivery offer a rich and diverse range of experiences to both improve and inspire our pupils.

Applications are invited from first rate Business teachers who can also offer Economics. Candidates need to have a relevant degree, at least two years teaching experience and a clear understanding of teaching at Key Stage 3, (I)GCSE and A level. The ability to offer other humanities subjects would be advantageous. We are looking for candidates who blend creativity and rigour in the classroom, are highly committed and possess excellent organisational and communication skills.
Many of our full-time teachers are also House Tutors. All members of the teaching staff are expected to provide extra-curricular activities and will also be required to contribute to the wider community life of the College.
