As a school, we have a strong focus on academic achievement. Pupil leadership is at the very heart of our ethos. When families join Haileybury they become lifelong members of a school which puts the learner at the centre of everything. Our not-for-profit status means we continually reinvest for the future development of the school and we boast an exceptionally well-resourced Science department. Our high quality teaching and excellent extra-curricular provision make Haileybury Almaty a very special place to work.
We cater to 810 children aged from four to eighteen, offering a British curriculum that incorporates the best of international and Kazakh education. Pupils work in an environment where they are stretched and challenged, and have their expectations raised to achieve outstanding progress and outcomes. Our Senior pupils complete the EdExcel International GCSE and A Level programmes, going on to achieve places in world class universities, with a particular focus on US Ivy League and UK Russell Group universities. This success is a result of the strong partnership between the school, pupils, and parents.
Haileybury Almaty invites applications from well-qualified, inspirational teachers for the following position, to start from 1 August, 2025.

We are on the lookout for a passionate Chemistry Teacher who aligns with our values. Ideally, we seek someone well-versed in the British curriculum, with a strong background in teaching. Experience in teaching learners for whom English is not their first language is preferred. We are looking for enthusiasm and a genuine love for the subject. We have some incredible Chemistry students, many selected through the school’s scholarship programme, and we're keen to nurture this further. We value educators who excel at providing constructive feedback and crafting engaging, innovative lessons, as well as contributing to the wider teaching and learning community of the school.
The School offers a competitive tax-paid salary, accommodation, baggage allowance, medical insurance, gratuity, pension contributions, and annual flights.
Haileybury Almaty prioritises the safety and wellbeing of our community and expects all staff to share the same commitment. Our Child Protection & Safeguarding policy outlines the measures we have in place to ensure the safety of all students.
