Job Title: Teacher of Chemistry
Surbiton High School is currently seeking an enthusiastic and committed individual to become an integral part of our dedicated and hard-working Science Department. We invite applications for the position of Teacher of Chemistry.
Start Date: September 2025 or sooner for the right candidate
Tenure: Permanent, Full-Time
Salary: Competitive – based on the Surbiton High School Pay Scale
The Science Department is well-established team of over 20 teachers and 4 technicians. We have an excellent record of academic success at both GCSE and A Level. Over 40% of our students study a Science based degree at top competitive UK and oversees universities, with students taking places at: Oxbridge colleges, Engineering at Imperial and almost 100% success levels over the last 5 years in Medicine, Dentist and Veterinary Medicine course applications. A small, but growing, number of students are also achieving success in apprenticeship applications, including with the Dyson Institute. All pupils take either Combined Science or the three separate sciences at GCSE with some students additionally choosing to study Computer Science GCSE. The Sixth Form is academically strong and a large number of students choose Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Computer Science at A Level.
