Kingsley Academy, a ‘Good’ 11-18 Secondary School that has made significant progress since 2019. There is an unapologetic ambition from the leadership team and staff to give every student the opportunity to achieve academic excellence alongside well rounded personal development. This year our dedication to improvement was validated with a 25% improvement in our 4+ English and Maths figure alongside a 26% improvement in our 5+ figure compared to 2019. Kingsley Academy has grown significantly in numbers over the last three years and we are now full in every year group with a waiting list across all years demonstrating the successes the school has seen and the positive culture the school promotes. Curriculum
Our curriculum is broad, balanced and ambitious. The curriculum supports our students to strive for excellence and to achieve the highest levels of achievement personally and academically. With our curriculum offer we give students the opportunity to pursue the courses of their choice at GCSE, A-Level and then have the chance to attend the most prestigious universities. This year we have had students leave Kingsley to attend Oxford, King’s College and Edinburgh. Opportunities also extend beyond the classroom with an expansive and ever-growing offer of extra-curricular opportunities. Our extra-curricular activities are expansive and we have developed great partnerships with local businesses that give students the opportunities to engage with careers that are aspirational and provide students with skills that allow them to go on to lead a successful life.
Behaviour for Excellence
The behaviour of students at our school is exceptional and we have disruption free classrooms. Our disruption free classrooms allow teachers to teach great lessons, take risks, and never lower standards or expectations. We believe in disruption free classrooms, every lesson, every day. About the role:
An exciting position has become available for a talented Teacher of ICT to join our thriving staff body. The successful candidate will need to teach Computing and IT and will join a fantastic department. The team at Kingsley are incredibly hard working, supportive and welcoming to all new staff. This is an incredibly exciting opportunity for you to assist in the development of computing at Kingsley and an opportunity to grow and develop within a department that is very much in its infancy.
