The successful candidate will work in a caring and forward-thinking school where students achieve and make sustained progress as a result of our ‘can do’ ethos.
This role would be suitable for a teacher looking to start their career as an ECT in September, 2025. We offer excellent support and development, with a significantly reduced teaching load for ECTs, and we work with the Exchange Teaching Hub, to ensure you continue to develop into an outstanding teacher.
If successful, we offer you the opportunity to work in a supportive environment, where your contribution to the Computing team and the school as a whole, will be valued. Working in a friendly, aspirational school community, we invite you to join us in our commitment to inspire every student with the skills, resilience, independence and confidence they need to achieve their potential. As a school, we have an extensive CPD programme to support you in your career. We also provide all our staff with a laptop computer.
Excellent learning and teaching is at the heart of all that we do and is supported with a full professional development programme, an outstanding induction programme, and a forward-thinking approach to staff wellbeing.
Visits to the school from prospective candidates are welcome. Selby is located in picturesque North Yorkshire and benefits from good commuter links with York and Leeds.
We are committed to meeting the needs of our diverse community and aim to have a workforce reflecting this diversity. We are also committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and adults. We have a robust child protection policy and all staff will receive training relevant to their role at induction and throughout employment at the school. We expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This post is subject to satisfactory references and enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service criminal records check for work with children. An online search may be undertaken for shortlisted candidates as part of the recruitment process on information available in the public domain.
