Due to expansion and exceptional demand, we require for April, a well-qualified and enthusiastic teacher of Religious Education to deliver our Core RE programme alongside a number of specialist colleagues. All students at the College participate and benefit from the Core RE programme which is delivered in an individual lesson format of 65 minutes per week to Year 1 and a lecture format delivered mainly by visiting speakers to Year 2.
A broad range of topics are covered as part of the programme and Core RE is an integral part of the curriculum offer here at the College. The programme was judged to be ‘outstanding’ in the 2019 Diocesan Section 48 inspection.
St. Dominic’s is an ‘outstanding’ Sixth Form College as judged by Ofsted in May 2022. It is an inspirational place to work. St. Dominic's is the longest established centre for Catholic post-16 education in the Diocese of Westminster. The College provides a wide choice of GCE A, Applied A and AS courses. In addition, BTEC Level 3/ Extended Diploma (Edexcel)
All students are fully supported by Personal Tutors in preparation for employment or higher education. The College provides a Religious Education programme for all students. The Course is accredited by the National Open College Network and students are awarded a Level 1 in Year 12 and a Level 2 Year 13. The examination success rate is outstanding and the vast majority of students progress to higher education. A wide range of extra-curricular activities is available.
